Recent Trip Review
It’s been 3 weeks since Biny got back from Ethiopia, and we have a lot to thank God for! The chicken farm was prepped for move-in, and 1,000 chickens arrived last week. We expect our first batch of eggs around 2 months from now when the chickens are 18 weeks old!
Eyes on the Goal
We’re here to share the Hope of Jesus to the orphans and the widows. Please pray that after the Entoto Mothers receive there first batch of eggs to sell, and hear the gospel from our staff, they will respond to the Holy Spirit’s call and receive Christ as their Savior! We will have Bibles available and partner with local churches to encourage them to learn more about Jesus.
Other Updates
We will also explain that we are an alternative option to wood selling! It’s a big transition to change jobs, so it may be a slow process. They may work both jobs until they’re comfortable with the new lifestyle. But we’re confident that they will welcome the option. The first tray of eggs will be free to them, and they can sell in the market at market price. Then some of their profits will be used to purchase the next tray at a discounted price the next day. Our first group of egg sellers will consist of the 30 women we have built a relationship with. Pray for the LOH team in Ethiopia!
