Our Vision
Live Out Hope Wants to Partner with
Local Leadership to Pursue New Ways to
Look at Local Problems
Live Out Hope advocates for community-driven, sustainable business initiatives rooted in education and innovation. Our focus is currently on empowering women and mothers in rural Ethiopia, who endure arduous journeys of up to 9 miles to gather branches and leaves weighing 150lbs to sell as firewood, earning just $1-$3 a day. With limited education and financial resources, families in rural Ethiopia face daily challenges in providing for their children. Our goal is to establish jobs that contribute to the economic well-being of these communities, enabling women to support their families through their work.
Who We Are
Live Out Hope is a nonprofit organization that seeks to give struggling families a chance to better their lives through community lead programs that help bring about better education and job opportunities.
Founders
Binyam (Benji) and Bethany Gedlu
Benji, Bethany, and little Moriah live in the sweltering heat of the Arizona desert. Benji was born and raised in Ethiopia and has grown up seeing the beautiful people and vibrant culture. But he also grew up seeing the deep needs of the country. He moved to Israel for 3 years before meeting Bethany in Jerusalem. Benji always planned to give back to his country and communities around the world.
